2017 Domaine Seguinot Chablis – 91 points Vinous – $25.95
The 2017 Chablis has a fresh, what you might call “transparent” bouquet with impressive mineralité for a Village Cru. The palate is well balanced and intense, just the right amount of bitterness that lends tension, dovetailing into a vibrant, malic, energetic finish that is very impressive and delicious. Excellent.
2015 Borgo Scopeto Borgonero – 92 points JS – $18.95
A firm and silky red with bark and berry character. Medium body, chewy tannins and a balanced finish. Just the right amount of acid intensity.
2015 Borgo Scopeto Chianti Classico – 91 points JS – $16.95
Slightly reductive at first, but this opens up into fresh red berry territory with licorice, herbs and light spices as well as cedar. Medium-bodied with fine tannins, fresh acidity and a medium chewy finish.
