The Bovio’s were Restaurateurs first and Vignerons second, in the 1970s, Gianfranco Bovio started putting serious time and effort into energising his family’s small collection of vineyards, over the ensuing 40 years Bovio has developed a reputation for wines that come loaded with rich, generous Nebbiolo fruit, and a pure crystalline silky texture. Traditional treatment in the cellar—fermentation with native yeast and long aging in Slavonian oak casks keep the process delightfully old school.
