How are you all holding up?
We all love wine. But right now, we need a little more than hollow offers of free shipping, deep discounts and tone deaf marketing and comms.
Wine for us is the most important of the least important things in life, we, and I imagine many of you are (especially our Restaurant customers) in the fight of our life to save jobs and our Business.
It appears we’re in this for the long haul, besides our anxious thoughts of safety and what the future looks like, we’re going to need a glass of the most important of the least important stuff.
Querciavalle Chianti Classico 2015 / 90 Points Michael Godel – Wine Align / $24.95 per bottle / 12 packs
Chianti Classico is one of the world’s elite regions because of its proven ability to produce pedigreed, age-worthy wines that transmit the essence of site and that develop beautifully in bottle.
The 2015 vintage presents consumers with a tremendous opportunity to acquire fine, cellar worthy wines without spending a fortune.
The Losi Family have been farming Vineyards and Olive groves in Siena since 1870, the 2015 is a lovely dense example of a very classic style of Chianti Classico, generous aromas of fennel seed, black fruit, licorice, charcuterie and scorched herbs, serve generously from a jug at the right temperature.
Domaine Tinel Blondelet Pouilly Fume 2017 $31.95 per bottle / 6 packs
Annick Tinel-Blondelet took over the Estate from her parents in 1983. She represents the 12th generation of winegrowers in the family, she is responsible for some of the finest examples of Sancerre and Pouilly Fume in the Loire Valley. 25 year old Sauvignon Blanc vines grown on limestone and kimmeridgian marls (oyster shell fossils). Annick has produced a polished Pouilly Fume with ripe white floral and fruit nuances, beaming acidity keeps the wine exact and sharp. A mineral-laced smoky accent with fresh citrus peel and powerful intensity.
Château Vignelaure 2018 Rosé / Coteaux d’Aix-en-Provence / 93 Points Wine Enthusiast / 6 packs
Always a star among the rosés, this vintage does not disappoint. It is perhaps fatter than usual but the ripe fruit is well balanced by the mineral texture and acidity. With its sense of structure, this wine is ready for food.
One of the masterpieces among Provence rosés. Fashioned from organically grown grapes, the wine is structured and age worthy with a blend that includes Grenache, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon. Packed full of aromatic red berries, red currants, wild strawberries and savoury herbs, well rounded with a delicious texture. This is the Rosé that all others are judged by.
