2022 Clarendelle Saint Emillion

Inspired by Haut Brion this blend primarily consists of Merlot and Cabernet Franc, and offers the natural concentration typically found in sunny vintages. The floral aromas of the first nose quickly give way to powerful notes of black fruit and very ripe red fruit (but with no trace of overripeness) with aeration. The overall impression of sun-drenched yet fresh fruit notes is very characteristic of this vintage. The fleshy palate is underpinned by moderate tannins, creating a lovely, well-balanced wine enhanced by intrinsic freshness.
